Shollan
This is a wearable hand-made latex mask and hands. It was sculpted to look like "Admiral Ackbar" from Return of the Jedi but with a paint scheme to resemble the Mon Calamari characters as seen in Rogue One. These items were sculpted and painted by myself. Even though this was designed to be used as a wearable costume, it can be also used as a display piece.
Even though I sculpted this with great attention to the design from the movie, I altered the placement of the nostrils slightly so the wearer can actually see out of the mask (unlike the one in the film) through the opening in the mouth and nostrils. There is no cut up the back like most masks because it's large enough to slip on over an average head. The eyes are made of an acrylic resin and are hand painted.
The hands are also made of latex and will fit an average sized hand. There is no slit on the inside of the upper forearm but can be done by the buyer to make them easier to put on. The hands are flexible enough to hold larger items such as water bottles or light sabers but you probably won't be signing autographs in them anytime soon.
There is a layer of structural foam in the top of the head and the forearms that helps to maintain the shape but can be removed if unwanted. They're painted with a flexible paint that won't wear off and sealed with a clear urethane that both gives it a "wet look" and helps to protect the mask from UV damage when wearing outside.
